The Vigilantes Logo

As we turn our attention to our shiny, new website (coming soon) we've been looking back through a lot of Vigilantes historic documents.

One thing became apparent; we have lots of different logos!

In our Lodge's history, various new additions have been made - our Banner, plaques on Lodge furniture, official documents etc - but each one seems to carry a slightly different verison of the Vigilantes crest.

All of the versions contained the same overall elements, but varied is style and quality of execution! The most recent version we had was very low-resolution and wouldn't serve our new digital outlook very well.

Having researched and pulled together all of the variations, we were able to agree on a definative version; keeping all of the key elements, and returning to some of the 'original' details that had been lost.

For example; over the years the Heraldic 'Vulning Pelican' that we inherited from the Crest of Cleethorpes Borough Council had ended up looking decidedly swan-like!

With a little artistic skill and a lot of photoshop, in January 2023 The Vigilantes Lodge adopted its new, high-resolution logo which you can see below!
